To empower, enable and promote wellbeing in young people with diverse needs by providing meaningful life and work skills-based programmes.

What do we do?

The Buzz helps young adults with learning disabilities and other support needs, aged 18-30yrs old, to become “work ready” by offering a work skills-based programme and community networking opportunities.

Our Story

The Buzz is a work skills programmme established in 2021 by a group of local parents.

The Buzz is a work skills programmme established in 2021 by a group of local parents. The families recognized that their young people with learning differences, faced many barriers when making the transition from school into the community.

The Buzz team are skilled, experienced, and qualified in working with young people with diverse needs.

The Buzz?

If you come to The Buzz you will be supported to develop many transferable work and life skills, for example:

Working together as a team.
CV writing and interview skills.
Developing an individual work plan.
Practicing work skills, building confidence, and meeting new people.
Exploring social enterprises.
Helping support other community groups.

When & Where

When does The Buzz happen?

Wednesday and Friday mornings

We are currently running groups on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9.30am - 12.30pm.

Each session costs $15.00 including morning tea.

We run social groups each term to have fun and foster friendships.
